Ep. 31: A photographer’s love letter to Rajasthan and launching a book during the COVID-19 crisis with Christine Chitnis

Ep. 31: A photographer’s love letter to Rajasthan and launching a book during the COVID-19 crisis with Christine Chitnis

It’s been quite a month! I hope this episode comes to you as a burst of Indian sunshine in the shadow of the coronavirus-induced lockdown the world over. I have four additional absolutely amazing episodes recorded, but I really wanted to get one out to you that was recorded in the midst of the global pandemic. I met photographer and author Christine Chitnis in Boston on March 8th, 2020 as her book tour for “Patterns of India: A Journey Through Colors, Textiles, and the Vibrancy of Rajasthan” was just taking off.

Christine truly embodies the vibrancy her book showcases, and it has been a heart-breakingly challenging month for her since her book tour has been derailed. I do hope everyone who can afford to will buy her stunning book and save it from being lost in the current madness. It is a gorgeous gift for Mother’s Day or any day, for anyone really, and especially for those whose India travel plans got canceled. She’s donating part of her profits to an Indian non-profit focused on relief efforts, and can really use all our help at the moment, so thank you in advance if you can help out!

As always, you can hear the full episode below, on your favorite podcast app, or on iTunes and please do subscribe, so you don’t miss an episode!

P.S. Our crack recording engineer is currently stranded in the Caribbean, so please bear with the lack of music and “straight from my house to yours” sound quality!
